Now that we have settled in AZ for awhile, and being retired, I can only play so much golf. So I have had some time to play with my new camera. At the house we have rented here there are many critters all around us.
There are all kinds of beautiful birds. The quail are everywhere and they are quite wacky. There is a fat field mouse that shares the food with the Quail. Once in a while we get the beautiful red cardinals and they are stunning. There is also an owl that lives in the trees nearby but it has been hard to get pics of him because my neighbor keeps scaring him off. The Road Runners are also fascinating. They look like something out of Jurassic Park. They are the garbage disposals of birds. They'll eat anything from small birds, to leaves, to rocks.
But the Coyotes and the Bobcats are the best. We had a mother Bobcat and 2 kittens hang out in the back yard twice. And the coyotes think they own the place. Nature is a wonderful thing.
