As mentioned in earlier posts, Cambodia offers a wealth of experiences, but exploring Angkor is truly a remarkable opportunity. From the ninth to the 15th centuries, Angkor served as the power center of a formidable military and political force at the heart of a rich and sophisticated civilization. Here, you will encounter numerous massive stone monuments, expansive majestic causeways, beautiful towers, and lush jungle. There are hundreds of temples. I am just going to show you four of them.

In this post, I am highlighting two unique temples: Banteay Srei and Ta Prohm. Banteay Srei is a stunning pink sandstone temple, renowned for its intricate carvings, with hardly any space left untouched. Ta Prohm, also known as "the Lara Croft temple," gained fame as several scenes from the movie were filmed there. This temple features centuries-old trees growing out of the rock and stone, both between and within the buildings. As a somewhat avid photographer, I was utterly captivated by these temples. They were incredible to behold, yet each temple was completely distinct. Every king who ruled desired to have his own temple and constructed each one differently.
